Baking afternoons with the kids
Looking for an activity to keep your children busy? Baking together is a wonderful way to spend time as a family. Let them make their own snacks: the Chocolate cereal bars, the Madeleines or the Mini banana bread are ideal for the lunch box. Bakery recipes such as the Milk rolls, the Sugar Buns or the Homemade Pitch are also great favourites.
Children love anything colourful and playful, so recipes such as the Farm Cake, the Little chocolate heart bears, the Cake pops or the Modelled Penguins are sure to delight them. Homemade versions of famous treats, like the Homemade Kinder Bars, the Petit Beurre Cookies or the Homemade LU Barquettes, are always a hit.
Ideas for gifts and celebrations
Looking for a gift for the teachers at the end of the school year? Our Thank you teacher cookies and the Summer Cakesicles are easy to make and lots of fun to decorate. Simply pack them in a pretty box or bag.
- Decorate cookies with Royal icing in all the colours your children like
- Bake Decorated Madeleines or Chocolate Muffins for a birthday party
- Make Strawberry Ice Cream or Oreo Ice Cream on hot days
- Shape Ginger Donuts (Lebkuchen) for a cosy winter afternoon
Tip for success: prepare and weigh all the ingredients in advance and leave the hot oven work to an adult. That way the children can concentrate on mixing, shaping and decorating.
