Hit or pull?
Classic piñatas are opened with a stick. For younger children or indoor parties, pull-string piñatas are ideal, such as the extendable rainbow and Happy Birthday designs or the owl piñata: each child pulls a ribbon until the base opens. That keeps the game safe and exciting at the same time.

Filling tips
Do not overfill the piñata, so it hangs well and opens easily. Individually wrapped sweets, small chocolates, stickers or mini toys work well. Have a small bag ready for each child to collect their treasures.
Our tip: hang the piñata from a sturdy branch or hook and let the children take turns by age, starting with the youngest. Make sure there is plenty of space around whoever is swinging the stick.
