Round cake tins
There are 29 products.
Round cake tins are the basis for birthday cakes, sponges and layer cakes. Here you will find the aluminium series in tall, medium and shallow versions, with a height of 10, 7.5 or 5 cm and diameters from 10 to 35 cm. In addition, there are round silicone cake moulds from 16 to 26 cm in diameter, non-stick baking tins, including a professional tin of 28 cm, and a rose gold baking tin.
Small to medium diameters of 10 to 20 cm suit tall novelty cakes and layer cakes, where several layers are stacked on top of each other. For layer cakes there is also a set of five silicone moulds of 15.5 cm and a set of five non-stick tins of 15 cm.
Tips for baking in round tins
- Choose the diameter to match your recipe so that baking time and the amount of batter are right. A larger tin gives a thinner layer that bakes faster.
- Tall aluminium tins with a 10 cm side are ideal for tall sponges that you then cut into several layers.
- Grease metal tins well or line the base with baking paper: you will find what you need in Non-stick spray and Baking paper & reusable baking sheets.
- Let silicone moulds cool briefly after baking, then carefully release the cake.
Questions about round cake tins
Which tin height do I need for a birthday cake?
For a classic cake with several layers, the tall 10 cm aluminium tin is the best choice. For lower layers, tarts or fruit cakes, the 7.5 or 5 cm versions are enough.
When is a springform tin the better choice?
If you want the side of the tin to open, for example for cheesecakes or delicate cakes, take a look at our Springform tins. For layer cakes and firm sponges, fixed round tins are ideal.
The full range by tin type is in our Cake tins category, and base recipes for your sponges in our basic recipes.
