Springform tins

Springform tins have a side that opens with a clip. This lets you release delicate cakes, gateaux, cheesecakes and sponge bases from the side without turning them out. You can choose diameters from 18 to 28 cm: Ø 18, 20, 23.5, 24, 25.5, 26 and 28 cm. The Decora tins are made of non-stick coated steel and are 6.5 cm tall, the Städter models 7 cm, three of them with an enamel base in Ø 24, 26 and 28 cm. The Ø 18 cm springform tin is especially tall at 10.5 cm and ideal for high sponge cakes and festive bakes.
Tips and special springform tins
- Special shapes: for special occasions there is a square springform tin of 23 x 23 cm, also listed in our Square & rectangular tins category, and a heart-shaped springform tin of Ø 26 cm, which you will also find in our Heart cake tins category.
- Lining the base: the pre-cut baking paper circles for springform tins (pack of 10) have slit edges and sit in the tin without creases. More baking paper is available in our Baking paper & reusable baking sheets category.
- Easy release: a quick spray from our Non-stick spray category around the side makes release easier, especially with cake batter.
Frequently asked questions about springform tins
How do I make a springform tin leakproof, for example for a cheesecake in a water bath?
Lay a sheet of baking paper over the base and close the ring over it so that runny batter is less likely to leak. For a water bath, also wrap the tin in a double layer of aluminium foil before closing it.
What are the benefits of an enamel base?
Enamel is a hard, glass-like surface that is considered cut-resistant and acid-resistant. As a rule, you can therefore slice and serve fruit tarts and savoury tarts directly on the base.
