Patisserie classics
Many of our most read recipes are timeless classics. The Black Forest Cake, the Fraisier and the Mille-feuille are perfect for special occasions. With our Choux Pastry recipe you can make Chouquettes and a Paris-Brest, and thanks to our detailed guide, Reverse Puff Pastry becomes a real success.
Tarts have their place too: the Cooked wine tart is a true Swiss favourite and the Tarte Tatin a French classic. For individual portions, try the Strawberry-pistachio tartlets, the Passion fruit meringue tart or the Choco-speculoos tartlets.
Small pastries and treats
For coffee, an afternoon snack or a buffet, small pastries are ideal:
- Hazelnut Snails and Vanilla Cream Horns
- Mini Bundt Cakes with Chocolate and Hazelnuts
- Chocolate Muffins, Mini banana bread and Chocolate-Raspberry Fondant Cakes
- Berlin Doughnuts and Raspberry Donuts
Macarons are the ultimate discipline of patisserie: try the Praline Macarons, the Blackcurrant-Chestnut Macarons or the savoury Foie gras macarons. In winter, Ginger Donuts (Lebkuchen) are a must, and in spring the Strawberry-Rhubarb Entremets.
At the end of each recipe you will find a list of the equipment you need, so you can easily stock your home bakery.
Our tip: read the whole recipe before you start and weigh out all the ingredients. In pastry, every gram counts.
