To make about 18 large madeleines, follow our madeleine recipe.
We removed the chocolate chips from the original recipe. For those with a bigger sweet tooth, feel free to keep them. ;-P
For the decoration you will need:
- Edible cornflower and marigold flowers
- White and pink sugar daisies
- White and yellow sugar daisies
- Pastel yellow chocolate flavour pen
- Pastel pink chocolate flavour pen
In our assortment, we have the following two molds:
- Baking tin for madeleines and bear paws
Once your madeleines are completely cooled, you can decorate them! :-)
Let's get decorating!
Start by melting 1/2 packet of Déco Melts. We chose natural white but you can find different colours in our assortment.
Pour the drops into a bowl and heat everything in the microwave for 1 minute at 600Watt then stir.
Transfer the melted Déco Melts into a piping bag, then pipe a little into the cavities of the madeleine mold.
Spread the melted Déco Melts across all the cavities using a brush and place a madeleine on top, pressing firmly so it sticks.
Place the mold in the fridge for 15 minutes. Once fully cooled, unmold the madeleines.
Decorate them using the pastel yellow and pastel pink chocolate flavour pens. They are super easy to use, simply dip them 5 minutes in a jug of hot water and they will be ready to use. ;-)
Then stripe the madeleines with the pens and place a yellow or pink sugar daisy for a floral touch. :-)
Another decoration idea: melt the Déco Melts, then dip part of the madeleine into the melted chocolate.
Sprinkle them directly with edible flowers "rose petals" or "cornflower and marigold".
There you have beautiful colourful and flowery madeleines. :-)
They will keep for 2 days in a box.
We hope you enjoy this recipe!
