Cake pops with chocolate chips
Hey there, sweet tooths!
Cake pops are perfect treats to delight your guests at parties, birthdays or simply as a fun snack! :-)
Easy to customize with colorful decorations and various flavors, these bite-sized treats combine the softness of a cake with the crunch of a delicious coating.
Here is our recipe to make homemade cake pops.
Watch the recipe video:
For approximately 20 cake pops, follow our Halloween cake pops recipe.
For these cake pops, we used chocolate chips. For those who love even more indulgence, try caramel chips. ;-)
For the decoration you will need:
- 1/2 packet of white Déco Melts
Let's get started with the recipe!
Start by preparing the cake pops batter.
Preheat your oven to 180°C fan-assisted.
Once the batter is ready, grab the Silikomart "Ice" silicone mold which will give your cake pops a unique shape.
Spray it with release spray to prevent the batter from sticking. Fill 20 cavities of the mold by piping the cake pop batter using a piping bag.
Once the cavities are filled, close the mold with the lid. Thanks to it, you will get perfectly square little cakes. :-)
Insert the 15 cm cake pop sticks into the designated slots.
Important: Not all sticks are oven-safe. For this recipe, we chose to use Decora sticks as they are compatible with oven baking. Make sure to read the packaging carefully to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
If you use sticks that are not oven-safe, insert them into the cubes once they are baked and cooled.
Place the mold on a perforated baking tray and bake for 17 minutes in the middle of the preheated oven.
Let the cake pops cool to room temperature. Unmold them and place them in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Decoration
In the meantime, prepare the decorations.
To do so, start by pouring 1/2 packet of white Déco Melts into a fairly tall glass so you can properly coat the cake pops.
Melt the discs in the microwave at 600 Watt for one minute. Mix well and repeat this step until they are completely melted.
Take the cake pops out of the freezer and dip them into the melted Déco Melts. Let the excess drip off for a few seconds, then decorate them.
Here, we chose to use the purple Medley sprinkles and the sugar sprinkles Ocean.
In our assortment, you will find various decorations. :-)
Once decorated, stick the lollipops into a polystyrene stand so they can dry properly.
And here is the result, lovely little bite-sized treats that will delight both young and old.
They will stay fresh for up to 4 days when stored in a cool, dry place.
We hope you enjoy this recipe!
