Little Easter Eggs
Hello food lovers!
How about celebrating Easter with delicious chocolate chip financiers in egg shapes?
These little treats go perfectly with a coffee or tea during the Easter season.
Plus, it's a fun and convivial recipe, perfect to make with the family. :-)
Watch the recipe on video:
To make 18 eggs, we used 1x the recipe for the mini chocolate-coffee tigrés.
For the decoration, you will need:
- 1 pack of natural white Déco Melts
- Pastel pink chocolate-flavoured pen
- Pastel yellow chocolate-flavoured pen
- Orange chocolate-flavoured pen
Let's get started with the recipe!
Start by making the financiers by following our mini chocolate-coffee tigrés recipe.
Preheat your oven to 180°C, fan-assisted.
Once the financier batter is ready, grab the silicone "Little Eggs" mould.
Spray it with release spray to get nice clean shapes when unmoulding.
Using a piping bag, fill the moulds 3/4 full with the financier batter.
Bake for 12 minutes in the middle of the oven.
Once baked, unmould the little eggs and let them cool on a rack.
You will have batter left over, so do a second bake. :-)
Once all the financiers are baked and cooled, we will decorate them.
Let's go for the decoration!
Start by cleaning and drying your little eggs mould.
Melt 3/4 of a pack of natural white Déco Melts in the microwave for 1 minute at 600Watt. Mix well and repeat until the melts are completely melted.
Transfer the melted Deco Melts into a piping bag, then pipe a little into each cavity of the mould. Then place one financier per cavity, pressing gently so the Déco Melts rise up along the edges.
Place the mould in the freezer for 15 minutes, then unmould the financiers.
Dip the yellow, orange and pink chocolate-flavoured pens in a jug of hot water for 10 minutes.
Decorate your little eggs using the chocolate-flavoured pens, pastel nonpareils, small white sugar flowers and flower sprinkles.
Let your creativity run free to create little eggs each more beautiful than the last. :-)
They will keep for up to 4 days in a box.
We hope this recipe inspires you!
