Granola
Hello food lovers,
Granola is a staple in our home, and we have it for breakfast all the time! One of the things I love most about it is that there are endless flavour combinations. Today, I'm sharing a delicious chocolate chip version.

For 675gr of granola you will need:
- 150gr of spelt flakes
- 250gr of oat flakes
- 6 tbsp of liquid honey
- 6 tbsp of rapeseed oil
- 50gr of hazelnuts
- 50gr of almonds
- 50gr of dark chocolate chips
Preparing the granola
Start by preheating your oven to 150°C, fan-assisted.
In a large bowl, pour in 150gr of spelt flakes and 250gr of oat flakes. Set aside.
I found the spelt flakes at Migros in the aisle where Alnatura brand products are found. I like to add them to my granola because they bring extra crunch. :-)
In another bowl, measure out 6 tbsp of liquid honey and add 6 tbsp of rapeseed oil.

Heat the honey/oil mixture in the microwave for 45 seconds at 600Watt. Stir and set aside.
Roughly chop 50gr of hazelnuts with a knife.

Do the same with 50gr of almonds.
Set the nuts aside.

There we go, all our ingredients are ready!
Add the honey/oil mixture, the almonds and hazelnuts to the spelt/oat flakes.

Also add 50gr of dark chocolate chips — that's the indulgent touch! ;-)
Mix everything together using a spatula or a spoon. Take the time to mix all the ingredients really well, it's important.

Prepare a perforated baking tray and place a perforated silicone mat on top. With these two tools, the baking will be optimal! :-)
Spread the granola over the perforated mat.

Using a spatula, spread the granola across the whole tray and flatten it as much as possible.
Bake your granola for 30 minutes at 150°C, fan-assisted. Halfway through baking, you can give your granola a little stir so it browns evenly all over.
After 30 minutes of baking, you'll have a nicely golden granola. Let it cool for about half an hour. It's as it cools down that it will harden.
Then crumble the granola and store it in an airtight container.

And there you have it, perfectly crunchy granola! :-) For a perfect breakfast, serve it with yogurt, milk, fruit...
You can easily keep it in an airtight container for 2-3 weeks, but at my place it never lasts that long! ;-)
I hope you enjoy this recipe!
Have a lovely Sunday, food lovers!
Laura
