Thank you teacher gift box
Hello sweet tooth!
Yay, the summer holidays are just around the corner! ;-) How about preparing a wonderful gift to thank the teachers?
With this recipe, you'll be able to make a gift box filled with adorable cookies, decorated with different shapes and pastel colors.
It's a great way to say "Thank you" with a delicious homemade gift.
Let's get started with the recipe!

To make approximately 2 boxes, you will need:
- 250gr butter
- 150gr icing sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 450gr flour
- White chocolate-flavored pen
- Multicolored sugar sprinkles
We'll start by making the cookie dough. For this recipe, we chose to make a vanilla-flavored dough, but feel free to let your imagination run wild by flavoring it with our different flavorings.
Cookie dough
First, in a large bowl, pour 250gr of softened butter and 150gr of sugar.
Mix everything with the beater for 2 minutes, until you get a creamy and smooth texture.

Then add 1/2 tsp of salt, 1 tsp of vanilla flavoring and 1 egg.
Use measuring spoons to add the salt and flavoring precisely.
Mix again for 2 minutes with the beater so that the ingredients are well incorporated.

Finally, add 450gr of flour and mix again, but this time only 30 seconds at low speed, to get a crumble-like texture.

Finish mixing by hand until you get a smooth, even dough. Be careful not to over-mix, as the gluten will develop and your cookies will puff up during baking. For this recipe, we want nice smooth cookies. :-)
Place your dough between 2 sheets of baking paper, then roll it out with a large rolling pin.
Use the 5 mm cookie guide bars to get an even thickness.

Place the dough in the freezer for 10 minutes to make cutting the cookies easier.
In the meantime, get a perforated baking tray and a perforated mat for even baking.
Also prepare the messages you want to cut out.
For our boxes, we chose "MERCI MAITRESSE" and "SCHONE FERIEN". It's up to you to choose the words you want to make. ;-)
Use the alphabet cutter kit to cut out your cookies.

Cut out the letters as well as the different shapes you want to include in your box.
We chose to add stars and hearts. In our range, you'll find many cookie cutters in various shapes.

Place your cookies on the mat, then put everything in the freezer for 10 minutes.
In the meantime, preheat your oven to 135°C, fan-assisted.
Bake your cookies for 30 minutes in the middle of the oven, until they are nicely golden.
Let them cool completely before moving on to the decoration.
You will have some cookie dough left over depending on the words and decorations made. It will keep for 3 days in the fridge well wrapped, and can be frozen for about 2 months in a zip bag.

Once the cookies have cooled, we can move on to the decoration.
Decoration
To start, get a white chocolate-flavored pen and dip it in a jug of hot water for 5 minutes so it's ready to use.
Then prepare a small rolling pin with the purple guides to get an even thickness of the sugar paste.
You will also need magic dusting powder so that nothing sticks to your work surface.
For this recipe, we chose the pastel color sugar paste kit.

Start by working the sugar paste to make it nice and elastic. Then dust your work surface with magic dusting powder and roll out the sugar paste with the small rolling pin to about 1.5 mm thick.
Use the alphabet cutter kit again and cut out the different letters you have chosen.

Use the white chocolate-flavored pen to stick the sugar paste letters onto the cookies.

And here is the result of our messages! :-) Let your imagination run wild with the colors, shapes and texts you create.

For the finishing touch, decorate your letters by striping them with the chocolate pen and sprinkling them with sugar sprinkles.

On some, we also added blue sugar sprinkles.

Finally, create a lovely box: get a treat box, tissue paper, white wafer dahlias and a pretty ribbon that matches the colors of your cookies.

And there you have it, beautiful gift boxes to offer.
These cookies will keep for 2 weeks in their box.
I hope you enjoy this recipe.
I wish you a wonderful end to the school year and a lovely summer holiday.
Sophie
