Savoury puff pastry bites
Hello food lovers!
These little puff pastry bites are perfect for your next aperitif and can be filled exactly to your taste.
Unfortunately, we no longer carry the Snack ’N Roll Roller that we originally used for this recipe. However, you can achieve the same pattern just as easily with an adjustable dough cutter.
Let your creativity run free and surprise your guests with delicious homemade bites! :-)

To make approximately 40 puff pastry bites you will need:
- 1 rectangular puff pastry sheet
- 1 egg
- Salt
- Sesame seeds
Let's get started with the recipe!
Start by unrolling a rectangular puff pastry sheet. To simplify the recipe, we used store-bought puff pastry.
Brush the pastry with a beaten egg using a baking brush.
Add salt and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Place everything in the freezer for about 15 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 180°C, fan-assisted.
Once the 15 minutes in the freezer are up, grab the adjustable dough cutter.
Roll it over the pastry to easily cut out perfectly uniform bites. You’ll see, it’s super easy! :-)
Arrange the pastry bites on a perforated baking tray lined with a perforated mat for optimal baking.
Bake for 12 minutes in the middle of the preheated oven.
Let the aperitif bites cool for a moment after they have cooked for 12 minutes.
They can be eaten as they are or filled, for example, with a tuna mousse.
Find the tuna mousse recipe used in the tuna savarins on our blog. Simply cut them in half and fill them with a little mousse inside.
Unfilled pastry bites can be kept for up to 3 days if stored in an airtight container.
However, if you fill them, eat them as soon as possible to enjoy their crunchiness at its best! ;-)
We hope you enjoy this recipe. :-)
