At Cakelicious, we stock the Altbachmühle range – a traditional company in Wittnau in the Fricktal, operated by the Tschudi family since 1760 and now in its eighth and ninth generation. What makes Altbachmühle so special is its close connection to the region: the grain processed at the mill is delivered directly from the field by local farmers. At the grain collection point, it is cleaned, dried and stored – as close as possible from grower to mill, as fresh as possible from field to flour bag. In 2014, the mill was modernised and expanded with various silos, a flour packaging unit and a flour warehouse – without abandoning the craft.

Natural, additive-free – genuine Swiss flour

The various flours from Altbachmühle are produced from regional Swiss grain and contain no additives whatsoever – natural and very easily digestible. Alongside modern technology, the grain is milled in the traditional way and partly still packaged by hand – genuine craftsmanship that you can taste in the result. The broad range includes various conventional and organic flour varieties and thus covers every need: for the production of bread, plaited loaves, biscuits, patisserie and pasta.
