Red marzipan for coating and modeling

This red marzipan consists mainly of almonds and sugar, brings a fine almond aroma to your cakes and can also be enjoyed on its own. What is it suitable for? You can use red marzipan to cover entire cakes, such as the famous Swedish cake with its typical green dome. How is it used? Roll it out to a thickness of 4 to 7 mm on some baking starch or powdered sugar; 250 g is enough for a dome with a diameter of 14 cm. Then cover the cake, cut off any leftovers, knead again and use for decorations or wrap airtight. As it is slightly sticky, it adheres well to the cake and other decorations also stay in place. For decorating, you can form figurines, flowers or fruit - marzipan animals, marzipan potatoes with cocoa powder and classic marzipan fruits are popular. It is also suitable for patisserie, for example for pralines with chocolate ganache and a thin couverture coating or for a moist fruit and almond cake. Marzipan red can be shaped smoothly for modeling and decorating.
