Marzipan gray, 250 g

Delicately malleable and aromatic: the grey marzipan made from almonds and sugar enhances cakes and pastries with a fine almond aroma and is often eaten with them. Grey is suitable for coating entire cakes - for example, for a Swedish cake with a typical dome. How is it used? Roll out the marzipan to a thickness of 4 to 7 mm on some baking starch or powdered sugar; 250 g is sufficient for a dome with a diameter of 14 cm. As the mixture is slightly sticky, it adheres well to the cake and other decorations also stay securely in place. For what else? You can use the gray marzipan to form figurines, flowers or fruit, refine marzipan potatoes with cocoa powder or prepare fine pastries and delicate pralines - such as chocolate pralines with chocolate ganache and a thin couverture coating or a juicy fruit and almond cake. Leftovers can be kneaded again and used for decorations or packaged airtight.
