Finely balanced almond paste for coatings and decorations that not only looks beautiful, but also actively contributes to enjoyment thanks to its delicious almond aroma. Made mainly from almonds and sugar, it is often eaten along with rolled fondant or flower paste. Green marzipan is suitable for covering entire cakes - for example, the classic Swedish cake with its green dome. How is it used? Roll out the mixture on some powdered sugar or baking starch until it is 4-7 mm thick and nicely round; approx. 250 g is sufficient for a dome with a diameter of 14 cm. Then coat the cake, cut off any leftovers, knead again and use for decoration or wrap airtight. As the mixture sticks easily, further decorations will adhere reliably. What else is it suitable for? Shape figurines, flowers, fruit or marzipan potatoes, refined with a little cocoa powder. The high-quality marzipan can also be used to make fine pastries and delicate pralines, such as chocolate pralines with chocolate ganache or a juicy fruit and almond cake.
