Polycarbonate chocolate mold bunny & duck

This dimensionally stable polycarbonate mold allows you to cast detailed, shiny hollow figures in the shape of rabbits and ducks. What is it suitable for? For decorative gifts, showpieces and creative confectionery projects. How is it used? First temper the couverture: melt, cool and reheat; the temperatures vary depending on the type, a chocolate thermometer helps you to check. Clean the mold with lukewarm water and mild detergent without lye or rinse aid, rinse thoroughly, dry completely and polish with lint-free absorbent cotton or a fine handkerchief. Then hold only by the rim and bring to room temperature. When applying make-up, first draw fine details such as pupils with dark, tempered couverture in the cornet, then work out larger areas with a brush. White couverture can be colored with fat-soluble powder paint; allow each layer to dry briefly and turn the mold occasionally to check the result. Then spread the entire inner surface with the couverture that will later dominate and avoid air bubbles. Clean the surfaces with a metal horn, place the mold halves on top of each other, the magnets will hold them in place. Fill completely and tap against the edge with a chocolate mallet or the handle of a spatula so that air bubbles rise. Turn the mold, let excess couverture run out and repeat for more wall thickness if needed. Wipe off the drops and chill for 5-10 minutes. For the base, spread some couverture on baking paper, press the chilled mold down firmly and chill for a further 5-10 minutes; remove the clamps and chill again until the figure comes away (about 30 minutes in total). To unmold, carefully insert a spatula between the two halves of the mould and carefully release the figure. Polycarbonate is transparent, very robust and heat-resistant; unlike silicone, it provides a beautiful shine after polishing and makes it easier to unmold cleanly. The chocolate mold is particularly suitable when detailed figures with colorful accents are desired. The chocolate mold produces reproducible results in both private and professional settings.
