Snowman Silicone mold, 25 cm
A new idea for the Christmas log
Forget the traditional buttercream Christmas log.
Here is the Snowman silicone mold from Pavoni.
Silicone that withstands heat and cold alike
The flexible silicone makes this mold particularly versatile. A sponge can be baked in it at up to 250 °C, and a mousse or parfait can be frozen solid at down to -40 °C, while the mold retains its shape. For a Christmas log made of mousse, filling and sponge base, this is a real advantage: assembly, freezing and unmolding all take place in one and the same mold, without any need to transfer.
When unmolding, the material shows its true strength. The soft walls can be gently bent outward and released from the frozen dessert, so the distinctive indentations and edges remain cleanly preserved. There is no need to loosen the dessert with a knife or spatula, which benefits the smooth surface. To keep the filled mold stable during transport into the oven or freezer, it is best to place it on a baking sheet or board before filling.
Storage and care
After use, the mold can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. Sharp knives and abrasive sponges are best avoided so the surface stays smooth for a long time. Once completely dry, store the mold in a dust-free place without heavy objects on top, so the fine indentations are not permanently pressed in.
Robust silicone and thoughtful design combine to create a Christmas log that will draw every eye at the festive table.
