Dough mixers
There are 26 products.
A dough mixer kneads large batches and heavy wholegrain doughs evenly and gently – even when you are preparing several loaves, a Swiss Zopf and pizza dough in one go. We stock the proven Häussler NOVA in silver, white, anthracite, wine red and steel blue, and the Häussler Alpha 2G in white, anthracite or as a professional stainless steel model. Matching accessories include dough hooks, paddles, whisks, bowls, lids and food-grade grease. A grain mill gives you freshly ground flour, and in the Brod & Taylor bread proofer your dough then rises at a constant temperature.
Tips for dough mixer, mill and proofer
- The right attachment: dough hook, paddle and whisk are available for the NOVA, paddle and whisk for the Alpha 2G. One machine kneads bread dough, mixes cake batter and whips cream or egg whites.
- A second bowl saves time: with the extra bowl for the Alpha 2G or a second NOVA bowl you can start the next dough while the first one rests. Lid and bowl cover stop the dough from drying out while it proves.
- Mill your own flour: the Erica grain mill and the combination mill (9 cm millstone, 4 kg/h flakes) made of Swiss stone pine, the compact Tina mill and the Marga Mulino with flaker grind the grain right before baking. Freshly milled wholegrain flour often absorbs more water, so add the liquid gradually.
- More room in the proofer: the proofing tray and the extra stainless steel rack create a second level, for example for rolls or several small loaves.
Frequently asked questions about dough mixers
Is a dough mixer worth it for home baking?
If you regularly bake bread, Zopf or pizza in larger quantities, you save time and effort. Sticky wholegrain and rye doughs in particular are kneaded evenly, and with paddle and whisk the machine often replaces your hand mixer as well.
What do I need the Brod & Taylor proofer for?
It keeps a constant temperature so that yeast and sourdough doughs rise reliably, however warm or cool your kitchen happens to be. You can also use it to make your own yoghurt.
