Cookie cutter Save The Planet 5 pieces

The Save The Planet cookie cutters (5 pieces) are perfect for different types of dough, fondant, marzipan or modelling chocolate. The base material for cake decorations is usually fondant. Traditionally, fondant is known as a white, thinly rolled-out sheet for covering cakes. Fondant tastes rather sweet as it is an edible sugar paste. Fondant also behaves like modelling clay, which makes it ideal for modelling and embossing. If you want to give your fondant a personal touch, we recommend colouring white fondant with ProGel colors. Only use gel colors, as powder or liquid colors make the fondant either too brittle or too soft, which makes it difficult to work with. You will need a few tools to work with the fondant in the best possible way: the first is baker's starch. It prevents the fondant from sticking to the cutter, rolling pin or hands. Only use baker's starch, not flour or other starch. Baker's starch is made from potato starch and neither changes the consistency of the fondant nor is it visible on the fondant. This makes working with fondant much easier. The second aid is flower paste. Tear off a small piece and knead it into the fondant for 1-2 minutes. The ratio should be about ¾ fondant to ¼ flower paste. The flower paste ensures that the fondant hardens faster and does not deform after stamping. The more flower paste you use, the quicker the figures will dry. Now cut out the fondant and press the motif out of the mold with your finger if necessary. You can highlight shading and contours with a little dark grey edible color powder. Use a thin brush and draw along the edges, folds and dimples. This will make the figure look much more realistic. Then place the figure on a plate to dry. Allow enough time for the figures to dry completely before presenting or serving them. We recommend leaving the figures to dry overnight. As soon as the figures are completely dry, you can attach them to cakes, cupcakes or muffins using edible glue. Other sugar pastes such as flower paste can of course also be used. You should work quickly with pure flower paste. You can colour the paste in the same way as fondant and the figures do not have to dry overnight. Modelling chocolate or marzipan is also suitable for making figures. If the sugar paste cannot be removed from the mould, place the cutter with the figure in the freezer for 30-60 minutes. After use, the cutter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
