Stencils, embossers and chocolate tattoos at a glance
Airbrush stencils are available with a skull, skull tattoo, Halloween pumpkin and witch, as well as the Halloween airbrush stencil. There is also the Stencil Set Halloween and the Halloween stencil set with three pieces each, Trick or Treat mini stencils in a set of 3 and Halloween cappuccino stencils in a set of 4 for milk foam. For wizard fans there is the Harry Potter HP logo stencil in small and large plus a stencil for the Harry Potter lettering. Silicone embossers with spider web, skull, ghost and Halloween designs press patterns into fondant and flower paste. The Halloween and pumpkin transfer sheets transfer designs onto chocolate like a tattoo.
How to get perfect designs
- Transfer sheet: place the sheet design side down on liquid, tempered chocolate, smooth it out and only peel it off once the chocolate has set completely.
- Stencil: lay it flat and apply icing sugar, cocoa or food colouring thinly to keep the outlines sharp. Then lift it straight up.
- Embosser: roll out the fondant evenly, dust the embosser lightly with cornflour and press with even pressure.
- Airbrush: spray from a distance of about 15 to 20 cm in several thin layers to create fine gradients without drips, for example a black skull on orange fondant.
- Cookies: place the Trick or Treat mini stencils on dry icing and fill them with powder colour or royal icing, and your party favours are personalised in no time.
- Cappuccino: hold the stencil just above the milk foam and dust cocoa over it, and a pumpkin greets you from the cup.
Combination ideas and buying tips
Pumpkins and skulls cast with Halloween chocolate moulds become little works of art with chocolate tattoos. Fondant embossed with a spider web is an elegant base for sugar figures and eyes from Halloween sugar, chocolate & sprinkle decorations, and the HP logo, stencilled in gold powder colour onto black fondant, crowns a wizard cake. When buying, pay attention to size: large stencils suit cakes, mini stencils suit cookies and cupcakes. Sets with several designs are worthwhile if you want to decorate a whole buffet consistently, and silicone embossers are ideal for anyone who prefers working with fondant rather than colour. Transfer sheets are the quickest solution for pralines and chocolate bars with a wow effect.
Frequently asked questions about stencils, embossers and transfer sheets
How do I use transfer sheets on chocolate?
Place the design side on chocolate that is still liquid, let it set and peel off the sheet. The design sticks to the surface with a glossy finish.
Do airbrush stencils work without an airbrush?
Yes, with icing sugar, cocoa, powder colour and a brush, or with thinly spread royal icing.
How do I clean stencils and embossers?
With lukewarm water and mild washing-up liquid, without scrubbing. Let them dry flat so that nothing warps.
What are the silicone embossers used for?
For fondant and flower paste, for example for cake coverings, cookie plaques or cupcake toppers.
