Baking mat for macarons, 39.5 x 29.5 cm

If you love French patisserie, you will certainly be familiar with them - macarons. These fine double-decker pastries consist of two crispy, delicate half shells made from egg white and almond flour and a butter cream or ganache. Making the half shells requires skill, and frustration can quickly arise if you use the wrong recipe, an unevenly baking oven, impatience or poor equipment. This baking mat will help you with your project. The circles are marked on this mat, which is very helpful, especially for anyone who is baking macarons for the first time and is still a little unsure about the piping technique. Application: Prepare your macaron dough. This usually consists of almond flour, sugar, egg white and a little baking powder. If desired, this dough can be flavored or colored. Only paste and gel colors should be used for coloring, otherwise the consistency of the mixture will be altered. Put the mixture straight into a piping bag with a 10 mm nozzle. Now pipe even dots onto the silicone mat. If you want to bake mini macarons, do not fill the smaller ring completely; for large macarons, pipe a little over the ring. Always hold the piping bag in the same place and at the same height, the dough is automatically pressed outwards in a nice round shape. Once the macarons have been piped, hold the silicone mat on both sides and tap it well on the table until the batter has spread nicely and fills the rings. You can now decorate half of the shells with pearls, petals and much more. Leave the dough to stand for half an hour to an hour until the dough has dried and is no longer sticky. While the shells are drying, baking and then cooling, you can prepare the filling. Make a fine chocolate ganache or your favorite buttercream and chill it well. Then remove the macaron shells from the silicone mat and set them aside. Fill your cream into a piping bag with an 8 or 10 mm nozzle and pipe it onto the bottom macaron shells. Then carefully press one of the decorated shells onto the filling and your macarons are ready.
