Orange marzipan for coating and shaping
This marzipan consists mainly of almonds and sugar and its almond aroma makes a noticeable contribution to the enjoyment of a decorated cake. What is it suitable for? It is suitable for covering entire cakes, for modeling figurines, flowers and fruit as well as for fine pastries and chocolates. How is it used? Roll out to a thickness of 4 to 7 mm on some baker's starch or powdered sugar; 250 g is sufficient for a dome with a diameter of 14 cm. The light stickiness means that the cover adheres well and additional decorations stay reliably in place. Cut off any leftovers, knead again and use for decorations or wrap airtight. Marzipan potatoes with cocoa powder and classic marzipan fruits are popular, for example; a Swedish cake made from light sponge cake with fluffy vanilla cream is also a success.
