With what can i decorate my Number Cake?
The final piping is an important point for your decoration. You just need to choose the right nozzle. In our recipes, we use the round or fluted 12 mm nozzle. Number Cakes are often decorated with fresh fruits, macarons, or chocolate bars to match the chosen flavor. Once the piping is done, you have the choice between two types of decorations:
- edible ones such as wafer paper, sugar, jelly, or edible gold leaves
- non-edible ones such as toppers or candles

How can i make my Number Cake decorations?
For a 100% homemade dessert, you can make your own decorations like meringues or mini desserts (mousse, fruit coulis, or jelly) using our moulds found in the category "Dessert Decorations".
If you can't find moulds or impression mats that match your theme, create beautiful decorations out of sugar or modeling paste as we did for our modeled penguins. Don't like sugar paste? Make small figurines with marzipan, but it won't be as smooth and creative as with sugar paste.
Wafer paper flowers sometimes lack details. To give them a more realistic effect, we recommend modeling them yourself using Renshaw flower paste. Compared to sugar paste, this paste can be rolled out thinly and allows for the creation of intricate details. It's not that complicated, follow our tutorial "Flower Paste Roses" step by step, and you'll get beautiful flowers.
Using piping bags and various nozzles, create different piping patterns and add a nice creative touch to your dessert. Pipe several rosettes on top of each other to create a height effect. You can also brighten up your cake by adding food coloring to your preparations.
When should I place my Number Cake decorations?
Some decorations like those made of sugar, marzipan, jelly, gold leaves, and mini decorations (jelly/fruit coulis, mini desserts in the form of mousse) can withstand cold and humidity. You can therefore finish assembling your dessert and then transport your cake without any problem. However, homemade decorations made from sugar or flower paste (modeled figurines/flowers) and wafer paper, as well as macarons and meringues, do not tolerate the fridge or humidity, so it is highly recommended to place them at the last minute.
