Praline cases

Praline cases hold every praline in place and give it a professional finish. Aluminium cases come round, heart-shaped or in mixed colours, alongside gold, silver and red praline cases and polka-dot retro cases. Being rigid, the aluminium cases can be filled directly with a fairly firm ganache. Classic greaseproof paper cups in white, brown, black or with Christmas and Halloween motifs fit into any praline box. For small portions there are also aluminium praline cones. Depending on the design, a pack contains 30 to 200 pieces.
Tips for choosing praline cases
- A colour for every occasion: gold and silver for Christmas and weddings, red for Valentine’s Day, black and Halloween motifs for autumn, polka-dot retro cases for birthdays.
- Heart cases as a gift: fill the aluminium heart cases in turquoise, lilac and beige directly with ganache, let it set and give them away in a box.
- Play with contrast: white cups make dark pralines stand out, while brown and black cups suit white and milk chocolate pralines.
- Check the size: the praline should fill the case well without sticking out over the edge – that way it stays put in the box.
For gift boxes, it pays to mix different cases: for example gold cases for nut pralines, silver for truffles and white cups for dark ganache. Every box then looks varied, and the flavours can be told apart at a glance.

What is the difference between aluminium and classic praline cases?
Both give your pralines a neat frame. Rigid aluminium cases can be filled directly with ganache, while the classic greaseproof paper cups are mainly used for finished pralines and mould themselves to their shape.
What are the praline cones for?
The aluminium cones in blue, silver, red, gold and green are perfect for small portions: pipe a fairly firm ganache with a star or rosette nozzle up to the rim, decorate as you like and let it set in the fridge.
