How to use the cake boards
The elongated format of 24 x 9.5 cm fits typical loaf tins: a Yule log, a cake from the loaf tin or a delicious roulade finds its perfect place on it. It is best to place the cake board ready before finishing. This way you can spread and decorate your Yule log directly on it without having to move it afterwards. Fine sugar decorations, meringue mushrooms or chocolate shavings are only added at the very end, once the pastry is already on its base.
The base is also a practical aid when bringing something along: if you bring a cake to friends, family or a celebration, it stands neatly on the board and can be placed together with it in a suitable pastry box. Thanks to the gold colour, the presentation looks festive as soon as it is unpacked, whether on the Christmas buffet, at an apéro or as a gift for your hosts. If you prefer something more understated, the cake board can simply be used on the black side. Both sides are protected with a PET coating and are therefore food-safe. With five pieces in the set, you are well equipped even if you are baking several Yule logs during Advent or want to give away a few cakes.
