The Christmas gnome cookie cutter is perfect for different types of dough, fondant and marzipan. The cutter measures 4.5 cm x 2.5 cm x 9 cm. The cutter is embossed on the inside so that the biscuits already have the necessary contours when they are cut out. Before using, make sure that the work surface, hands, rolling pin and cutter are dusted with flour. This will prevent the dough from tearing during processing. For a stable dough, it is advisable to use cold butter, as this holds the dough together. A thinly rolled out dough will be crispy after baking. If you prefer a softer dough, you can leave the biscuits 0.5 cm thick. We recommend this thickness, as the embossing remains clearly visible after baking. Now cut out the biscuits and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper before baking them in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown. Once the biscuits have baked and cooled, you can decorate them with a royal icing mix. Prepare the mix as described on the packaging. You can color the icing with ProGel so that it is not just white. Divide the icing into as many bowls as the number of colors you want to use. One dab of the ProGel colors is enough to achieve an intense color. Apply the royal icing to the biscuits with a brush. Finally, you can decorate the biscuits with some sprinkles. After decorating, place the biscuits in a dry place to harden. The cutter can also be used for decorations made from fondant or marzipan. To do this, roll out the fondant or marzipan with a little baking starch and cut out the motifs. After use, the cutter can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
