Red birthday

Red stands for passion, energy and fun. With red birthday decorations you make a bold statement – whether for a children's party with a fire engine or superhero theme, an elegant red and gold celebration or a festive birthday in the run-up to Christmas. Here you will find red items for the table, the room and the cake.

What you will find here

For the table there are red paper or plastic tablecloths, a red table runner and red and white paper straws. To decorate the room, red bunting creates a cheerful frame above the buffet or along the wall. To show off the birthday age, there are large red number balloons; more designs are available in the Number balloon category. Because red has so much impact, just a few elements are often enough to make the room look festive.

Ideas for a red cake

• “Passion Red” marzipan for covering and modelling
• red drip for a glossy dripping edge
• red powdered food colouring for sponge and icing, for example for a red velvet cake
• red metallic colour spray, red glitter sugar, a glitter icing pen and red crispy chocolate pearls
• round or square red cake boards

For cupcakes there are red cases in standard and mini sizes, crinkled cases and “Red Velvet” muffin cases. Red nonpareils add the finishing touch. For candles, choose red glitter candles or classic red birthday candles; you will find more designs in the Birthday candle category.

Styling tips

Red works best in combination: fresh and classic with white, festive with gold, elegant and dramatic with black. As the tablecloth and runner already bring plenty of colour, plates and napkins can happily be in a contrasting shade. Missing a colour? Simply add items from the Birthday by colour category.
