Holidays & seasons
Our season and holiday section brings together everything you need to bake and decorate for the festivities of the year: Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, New Year's Eve and Epiphany. Rather than browsing the whole range, simply choose the occasion and you will immediately see the matching baking tins, cookie cutters, chocolate moulds, cupcake cases, sugar decorations and packaging. That way you can plan your festive baking early and have everything ready in time, whether for the family, a school class, a club or your own market stall.
Celebrations throughout the year
Every season has its classics. The widest choice is in Christmas: cutters and moulds for Christmas biscuits, moulds and decorations for the Yule log, chocolate moulds shaped like fir trees or stars, Christmas cupcake cases, plus festive packaging and biscuit bags for gifting. You will also find Advent calendars and panettone moulds.
In spring, everything revolves around Easter: moulds for chocolate bunnies and eggs, Easter biscuit cutters, Easter lamb tins, sugar decorations with chicks and carrots, and packaging for your homemade chocolate bunnies. In autumn, Halloween follows with cutters, tins, cupcake toppers and party decorations, from spooky witches, ghosts and spider webs to child-friendly designs and elegant ideas in black and gold.
For your loved ones there is Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, with heart-shaped tins, Love cutters, dessert decorations with hearts and flowers, cupcake accessories and table decorations. When the weather warms up, Summer has silicone moulds, cutters, cake decorations and everything you need for ice cream and garden parties.
In between there are plenty of other occasions: in autumn, when apples, plums and pumpkins are in season, you will find baking supplies and table decorations for fruit tarts, cakes and harvest festivals. The year ends with New Year's Eve and its sparkling decorations, followed on 6 January by Epiphany and the traditional King's cake.
How to plan your festive baking
A little planning keeps the holidays relaxed. A few practical tips:
- Order early: popular Christmas moulds, Easter bunny moulds and sugar decorations are in high demand just before the holidays. Ordering two to three weeks ahead leaves you time to experiment.
- Basics first: good couverture, food colouring, baking paper and a sturdy tin are needed for every occasion. Seasonal moulds and decorations build on this foundation.
- Plan quantities: cupcake cases and boxes come in packs for 4, 6, 12 or 24, with special boxes with inserts for mini cupcakes. Count your guests and gifts before you order.
- Do a trial run: test new moulds and recipes a week before, so that technique and timing are spot on for the big day.
- Don't forget the packaging: homemade treats look even better in a pretty box, a clear bag or a praline box.
Seasonal favourites
Among the most popular items around the holidays are cake boxes in different heights, such as 25 x 25 cm or 30 x 30 cm, Yule log boxes, cupcake boxes with inserts, white and black fondant, Callebaut chocolate in white, milk and dark, and glucose syrup. These basics are used for almost every celebration: the chocolate for Easter bunnies and pralines, the fondant for the Halloween cake, the box to safely transport the cream cake or the Yule log to the family gathering.
Epiphany is a much-loved tradition in Switzerland, especially in the French-speaking part: for the King's cake or galette des rois you will find porcelain figurines in many designs and matching crowns. For New Year's Eve there are decorations in gold, silver and black, edible cocktail glitter and large number balloons.
Frequently asked questions about seasons and holidays
When should I order for Christmas or Easter?
Ideally two to three weeks before the holiday. That gives you time to try out new moulds, and you still have the full choice, even for the most popular items.
Can I use seasonal moulds all year round?
Many of them, yes: heart tins also work for birthdays and weddings, star cutters suit any party, and silicone moulds can be used for ice cream, mousse and chocolate.
What do I need for chocolate Easter bunnies?
A bunny chocolate mould, properly tempered couverture and a little patience while it cools. For gifting, choose clear bags or boxes from the Easter packaging range.
