Tips for number and skyline cakes
- Place two number stencils side by side and the cake for a 30th, 50th or 80th birthday is ready in no time.
- A skyline in dark icing on light fondant is the perfect design for travel lovers or a farewell party. The London stencils show Big Ben and Tower Bridge, among others.
- The Decora digits can be filled in many ways: pearl, metallic or glitter spray, nonpareils, white or coloured icing, cocoa, icing sugar or colour applied with a brush, sponge or airbrush.
- Use the number cake stencils to cut sponge or financier layers into a digit, fill them with ganache or cream and decorate with fresh fruit, edible flowers or macarons.
Frequently asked questions about number and skyline stencils
How do I make a 9 with the number stencils?
Simply turn the Decora 6 / 9 stencil upside down. In the number cake set with the digits 0 to 8, the 6 also doubles as a 9 when turned.
What is cappuccino stencil set 2 used for?
For coffee decoration, lay the stencil on the cup, sift cocoa powder over it and lift it off. The sturdy, reusable plastic stencils with Ciao!, smiley and other designs work just as well on dessert plates, cake platters and cupcakes and are easy to wash.
