The finishing touch for any packaging: with bows, ribbons and ties, cakes, cookie bags and praline gifts look festive in seconds. Our bows with clip come ready-tied and simply clip around the neck of the bag – in 14 colours from cream and gold through red and bordeaux to dark green and lilac, some two-tone with gold. There are also gold bag ties for clear bags and praline bags. For cakes and gift boxes you will find satin cake ribbons in eight colours, plus jute ribbon, tulle ribbon and gift ribbon.
How to use ribbons and bows
- Close a bag in seconds: gather the opening, place the bow with clip on top and press it shut – no tying, no knots.
- A ribbon without stains: the satin ribbon hides the join between cake and cake board. On cakes covered with marzipan or rolled fondant, fix it with a tiny amount of edible glue; on buttercream or whipped cream, place a strip of baking paper or a protective strip underneath first so no fat seeps through.
- Match the colour to the occasion: red and dark green for Christmas, yellow and light green for Easter, cream with gold for weddings, bordeaux with gold for fine pralines.
- Natural decorating: the 5 cm wide jute ribbon suits kraft boxes and rustic weddings, while the white “Baptême” tulle ribbon is made for christenings.
Frequently asked questions about bows and ribbons
Do the clip bows hold on larger bags too?
Yes, they are designed for closing small and large clear bags. If a bag is very full, gather the top well first so the clip grips securely.
Can the satin ribbon touch the cake directly?
The ribbon is a decoration and is removed before cutting. To keep it clean, place it on a dry surface such as fondant or marzipan, or on a protective strip.
