Backstar – sustainable baking paper from Swedish forests

Backstar paper comes from exemplarily and sustainably managed forests in central Sweden. The cellulose pulp is finely ground and de-aerated – the result is high fat density and oxygen impermeability. The ultra-thin protective coating applied to the surface completes the result. Thanks to its specific properties, Backstar is an extremely sustainable product: the use of valuable fat becomes unnecessary and cleaning the baking tray with fresh water and harsh chemicals is no longer needed. The reusable baking paper is a natural product and fully biodegradable.

Social commitment – production in inclusive workshops

Over 200 people with support needs work in several inclusive workshops in Switzerland to fill, package and carry out a final quality inspection of the Alustar, Backstar, Freshstar and Jet-Cut products.
