Since 1971 – one of Scandinavia's greatest design trendsetters
At Cakelicious, we stock the IB Laursen range – one of Denmark's best-known interior design brands, founded in 1971 by its eponymous founder as a small retail shop in the Danish town of Ribe. Today, IB Laursen is one of Scandinavia's greatest trendsetters for functional art and stands for an unmistakable way of living: timeless home design in the Scandinavian country house style, shaped by Nordic simplicity, rustic nostalgic charm and the classic Hygge feeling of wellbeing. Natural materials, traditional craftsmanship and a close connection to nature – often with a maritime touch – run throughout the entire range.
Mynte – the iconic collection with ribbed design
At the heart of the IB Laursen tableware range is the world-famous Mynte collection. This tableware made from high-quality stoneware is the trademark of IB Laursen par excellence: the characteristic ribbed design, the pastel Scandinavian colours and the timeless country house aesthetic make every piece a visual delight. But Mynte is not only about beauty – the kitchen bowls, cake plates and other tableware also impress with their outstanding functionality. The products are food-safe, dishwasher-proof, microwave-suitable, freezer-safe and ovenproof – quality and everyday practicality combined in one.
Functional art for every moment
What makes IB Laursen so special is its understanding of tableware and home accessories as functional art – objects that are beautiful while also serving their purpose. The range encompasses not only tableware but also textiles, furniture and home accessories, all bearing the same unmistakable spirit: cosiness, naturalness and the desire to make everyday life a little more beautiful. With IB Laursen, the kitchen becomes a living space and every baking occasion becomes a moment of joy.
