Superhero cake toppers

Spider webs, shields and green strength: a superhero cake topper turns the birthday cake into a hero's cake. In this category you will find 16 Spiderman cake toppers, a Spiderman «Happy Birthday» cake topper, superhero «Joyeux anniversaire» cake toppers and the Spider Man, Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man cake topper sets. There are also edible cake images with Spiderman, Spiderman and Venom, Hulk or the Avengers, 20 edible Spiderman toppers for cupcakes and figures of Captain America, Iron Man and Spiderman. That way the birthday child's favourite hero takes centre stage when the cake is carried in with its candles.
Simply push the cake topper sets into the finished cake; like all paper toppers and figures, remove them before cutting and keep candles away from them. The Captain America and Iron Man figures are 9 cm tall each and stand best on a piece of sugar paste or marzipan. The Spiderman figure is slightly poseable and becomes a toy after the party.
Tips for a superhero cake
- Choose the cake colour to match the hero: red and blue for Spider Man or Captain America, green for Hulk, red and gold for Iron Man.
- The 16 Spiderman cake toppers also work on cupcakes, so every child gets their own hero.
- Edible cake images hold best on fondant or marzipan; they can also be used on buttercream and ganache.
Questions about superhero toppers
Can I put an edible superhero image on a fresh cream cake?
Yes, but only at the last moment before serving, as the image is sensitive to moisture. Alternatively, a thin protective layer of chocolate separates the image from the cream.
What is the difference between a cake topper set and an edible cake image?
The toppers in the sets are pushed into the cake and stand upright. Edible cake images are eaten with the cake: peel off the backing film and lay the picture flat on the surface; for the edible Spiderman topper sheet, cut out the individual motifs with scissors first.
