How to score with a sports cake
- Grass as the pitch: green-tinted buttercream or a green fondant covering turns the cake into a football pitch where the toppers stand like players.
- Pick up the club colours: the red football team set suits cakes and cupcakes in the colours of a favourite club.
- Cupcakes for the whole team: the cupcake cases with matching toppers are enough for a whole team and its fans.
- Place them securely: insert the toppers just before serving so they stay upright and do not go soft.
