Gold number candles are the timeless classic on a birthday cake: festive and elegant, they suit a stylish grown-up cake just as well as a children's party and put the age centre stage. In this category you will find gold number candles in many series, each with the digits 0 to 9: large gold candles, giant glowing gold candles, candles with gold stars, gold glitter number candles, elegant white and gold versions and mini gold candles for small cakes and cupcakes. For milestone birthdays there are also ready-made numbers such as 16, 18, 21, 30, 50 or 60.
Buying advice
- Match the size to the cake: giant and large gold candles stand out on tall cakes and tiered cakes. The mini gold candles are ideal for cupcakes, muffins and small cakes.
- Shine or sparkle: smooth gold candles look simple and classy, while candles with gold glitter or gold stars sparkle beautifully in the candlelight.
- White and gold is the elegant choice for pale cakes, milestone birthdays and anniversaries.
- Digits from the same series: for a two-digit age, order two candles from the same series so size, shade and style match perfectly.
Frequently asked questions
How do I put together a two-digit age?
Choose two digits from the same series, for example 4 and 5 for a 45th birthday. For 16, 18, 21, 30, 50 and 60 there are also ready-made candles with both digits.
How do I fix the candle securely on the cake?
Push the candle in straight and centred. On firm fondant or set ganache, pre-pierce the spot with a toothpick first.
Can gold number candles be reused?
Yes: if you blow the candle out after a short time, the number stays intact. Once cool, wax drips lift off easily and the candle is ready for the next birthday.
