If you want your proofing basket to stay in top condition and hygienically clean for a long time, the right cleaning brush is an indispensable tool. You can use it to effortlessly remove even the finest flour and dough residue and ensure that your baking utensils are kept in optimum condition. The brush has been specially developed for cleaning proofing baskets made from cane. Its bristles are just the right thickness to thoroughly remove residue from the fine grooves without damaging the material. Proofer baskets made of wood pulp can also be cleaned without any problems - thanks to the slightly firmer surface, they are even particularly easy to clean. Regardless of the material, this handy brush allows you to reliably reach even hard-to-reach areas. It is easy and efficient to use: after use, the proofing basket should first be allowed to dry completely to prevent mold from forming. You can then knock out any loose flour residue. Stubborn dough residue can then be gently removed with a brush - without using any water. Proofing baskets should generally be cleaned dry, as moisture can damage the material or encourage mold. Only in the exceptional case of heavy soiling can a little water be used - in this case, the basket must then be dried thoroughly and completely. Cleaning the brush itself is also easy: soak the bristles in warm water (below 40 °C) for 5 to 10 minutes. If necessary, you can add a mild detergent. Then rinse the brush thoroughly with clean water and leave it to dry with the bristles facing downwards in a well-ventilated place. Direct sunlight should be avoided.
