Be tempted by our log moulds
Would you like to make your own Christmas log this year? Discover our selection of Yule log moulds (bûche de Noël), with which you can create beautiful logs just like the great pastry chefs. We offer products from renowned brands such as Silikomart and Pavoni, leaders in silicone moulds. Their moulds guarantee professional results with a flawless surface and easy unmoulding. The range includes the Snowfall silicone log mould by Silikomart, the stainless steel log mould with insert or the 3-piece log set with mould, insert and mat. For classic Swiss roll style logs, the silicone roll mat is a great help. Whether classic or modern, these moulds help you create a culinary work of art.
Create a log with several flavours
Impress your guests with a Christmas log that combines several flavours! To do this, choose a log insert. This accessory lets you add a different flavour to the heart of your log, creating a delicious surprise when it is cut. Imagine a chocolate log with a fruity centre or a combination of vanilla and caramel. The insert adds not only flavour but also an aesthetic dimension that will wow your guests. With our Christmas log insert, such as the 25 cm silicone log insert mould, the 22 cm log insert, the multi-insert mould or the PVC insert for log moulds, every slice becomes a visual and taste experience.
Ingredients and finishes for a professional result
For mousses, crémeux and glazes, you will find proven ingredients here: Callebaut 28% white chocolate, Valrhona Ivory 35%, glucose syrup in various sizes, dried glucose, and gelatine powder with 150 or 200 Bloom, fish or beef gelatine and even gelatine spray. The finishing touch? A glossy Mirror glaze or a velvety look with Velvet spray, for example by Silikomart in white, cream white, red, gold, yellow, green, brown or milk chocolate.
Step by step to the perfect Christmas log
- Prepare the insert: pour the centre into the insert mould and freeze it completely.
- Fill with mousse: fill the mould halfway with mousse, place the frozen insert inside and cover with mousse.
- Close with a base: a sponge or crunchy base closes the log. Then freeze overnight.
- Unmould and finish: unmould the frozen log and coat it with mirror glaze or spray it with velvet spray.
- Decorate and thaw: place it on a cake board, decorate it and let it thaw slowly in the fridge.
Transport your Christmas dessert safely
Do not forget to choose a beautiful log box and above all a log cake board to present and transport your creation safely. Our Christmas log board, such as the gold boards measuring 29 x 10 cm and 35 x 10 cm or the reversible gold and black or kraft and white boards, support the weight of your dessert and make transport easier. Even if you do not need to transport your log, a high-quality log box such as the Polar Joyeuses fêtes log box is essential for storing it in the fridge and presenting it elegantly.
Decorations and Christmas cookies on the side
For the finishing touch, choose Joyeuses Fêtes wafer paper, the 3D Christmas sugar decoration, the Enchanted Forest decoration, Christmas cake toppers or sprinkles. Complete your festive meal with delicious Christmas cookie, perfect with coffee. Your children will love helping to decorate them, making the preparation a fun activity for the whole family.
What to look for when buying
Make sure the mould, insert, board and box match in length. Silicone moulds make it easier to unmould frozen logs, while stainless steel moulds suit classic versions. Plan the size according to the number of guests and use gelatine with the Bloom strength stated in your recipe.
