Ensure reliable support and clean levels when stacking tiered cakes. What are these rods suitable for? They stabilize each layer so that your cake keeps its shape. How is this used? Insert the sticks all the way into the cake until they touch the cake base, mark the height on the surface of the first layer and cut the sticks to this exact size with scissors. The cake supports can then be adjusted precisely. Depending on the diameter and weight, 3-4 sticks per layer are usually sufficient for a stable construction. Place the sticks in the bottom layer, place a thin cake base in the middle - ideally around 1 cm smaller than the cake on top - and place the next tier on top. Place a cake base between each tier and place new pins on each base. Do not place the pins over two tiers, otherwise the cake may collapse. Using the cake supports in combination with the cake slices will also prevent the top cake from crushing the bottom cake or from spiking onto the pins.
