A sturdy, 6 cm high ring for baking, filling and shaping cakes and sponges, ovenproof, cold-resistant and dishwasher-safe. What is the cake ring suitable for? For fluffy sponge cakes in the oven and for neatly stacking and cooling creams and fillings in the fridge or freezer. How is it used? Place the ring on a flat baking tray lined with baking paper; a perforated tray is ideal for even heat. Fill the sponge cake sparingly as it will rise; the bottomless structure allows the heat to circulate all around. Leave to cool completely after baking, cover with a second tray if necessary to retain the moisture. Loosen the edge with a knife, cut the bases most evenly with a cake cutter. For the layers, line the cleaned ring with a strip of cake liner. Place a small cardboard base (1-2 cm smaller) on a slightly larger cake base so that the cake can be lifted easily. Viscous ingredients such as caramel or cake jelly will keep their shape thanks to the ring. Then leave to set in the fridge or freezer and remove the insert strip. After use, the cake ring can be cleaned in the dishwasher in no time and is immediately ready for use again.
