The cake ring has no base, so the heat reaches the dough perfectly - ideally on a perforated baking tray. What is it suitable for? For baking sponge bases, for layering cakes and for fixing fillings; even thick components such as caramel or cake jelly remain reliably in the ring. How is it used? Place the ring on a straight baking tray lined with baking paper, fill with sponge (not too much, as it will rise) and bake the base. Leave to cool thoroughly and loosen with a knife. Cut the base into even slices for a cake - preferably with a cake cutter or cake saw. For the layers, line the cleaned ring with a cake insert strip if required, use a small cardboard base (1-2 cm smaller) with a larger base for lifting, insert fillings and leave the cake to set in the ring in the fridge or freezer. If there is enough space, several sponge cakes can be baked next to each other. After use, you can easily clean the ring in the dishwasher. The cake ring makes baking, shaping and layering efficient and clean.
