This ring can be used to create elegant cake bases and fluffy sponge cakes in the oven as well as for layering and cooling cakes. The cake ring is suitable for the oven, fridge and freezer and is easy to clean in the dishwasher after use. What is it suitable for? For baking sponge bases, for stable layering of fillings and for chilling or freezing. How is it used? Place the ring on a flat tray with baking paper (ideally on a perforated tray) and fill with sponge cake. Please note that it will rise during baking, so do not fill the ring completely. As the ring has no base, the heat reaches the dough evenly; leave the base to cool, loosen it with a knife and cut even slices with a cake cutter or a cake saw. You can also use the cake ring to prevent any thick ingredients such as caramel or cake jelly from running out. For layering, we recommend a small cardboard base (1-2 cm smaller) on a larger cake base; insert a sponge or crispy base, add the filling and place the cake with cake insert strips in the fridge or freezer to set; the ring can then be easily removed and reused.
