This ring is the practical basis for elegant cakes and airy sponge cakes - ovenproof and also suitable for the fridge and freezer. Thanks to its open base, the cake ring allows the heat to reach the pastry perfectly, resulting in an airy, evenly baked sponge cake. How is it used? Place the ring on a flat tray lined with baking paper, ideally on a perforated tray, fill the sponge not too high and bake. Leave the base to cool, loosen with a knife and cut into even slices, for example with a cake cutter or slicing saw. To layer the cake, place an insert strip in the ring, insert a base and fill as desired. Even viscous ingredients such as caramel or cake jelly will not run out. What else is the ring suitable for? To set the cake, simply place it in the fridge or freezer. Once the cake is firm, you can easily lift off the cake ring thanks to the insert strips. Then clean it in the dishwasher or by hand and it is ready to use again immediately.
