Kingfish cutter

The kingfish cookie cutter made of robust stainless steel brings elegant maritime charm to your biscuit plate. The stylish fish motif with its impressive tail is the ideal companion for all occasions involving the sea, summer and water-themed celebrations. The shape is suitable for classic butter biscuits, Milanese biscuits, gingerbread and pointed biscuits as well as for fondant, marzipan and flower paste. The kingfish looks particularly beautiful as a Christian symbol for summer parties, christenings, confirmations and first communions, for underwater-themed parties or as a motif decoration for maritime cakes. The cutter can also be used for aperitifs and festive buffets. Cheese slices, sausage leaves or puff pastry flakes are transformed into elegant fish canapés that stylishly enhance aperitif platters and sandwich buffets. Pickled salmon slices in the shape of a kingfish look particularly impressive on sushi platters. Instead of flour for dusting, we recommend baker's starch. It forms a wafer-thin film over the dough, allows the shape to slide and is absorbed without residue during baking. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 0.5 cm, cut out the fish and carefully lift the motifs onto the baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake the cut-out biscuits in the preheated oven until they are golden brown in color. Use your recipe as a guide for the temperature and time. You can avoid the typical things that can go wrong. Warm dough sticks and tears, 15 minutes in the fridge solves the problem. If the dough is rolled out too thinly, the contours will break. Always use cold butter for kneading dough, as this determines the stability of the motif. After cooling, decorate the kingfish with royal icing in shades of blue, turquoise and silver. Individual scales can be drawn with fine cornet, while edible mother-of-pearl dust gives the fish a shiny effect. Small sugar pearls for the eye make the motif particularly lively. The stainless steel cutter is dishwasher-safe and will last a long time. An elegant helper for maritime and festive baking creations.
