Professional work on cakes is particularly safe and clean with sturdy, grease-resistant slices made of food-safe cardboard. What are they suitable for? As a base in the cake ring, they provide support, make lifting with the spatula easier and prevent the sponge or cream from breaking when being moved. One side is coated (greaseproof), the reverse is made of normal food-safe cardboard. The cake disks are approx. 0.8 mm thick, can be cut to size and are intended for single use. How are they used? Choose a slice that is about 2 cm smaller than the diameter of the cake, place it in the ring and lift the cake with the spatula after layering if necessary. This makes it easy to sprinkle the edges with sprinkles, brittle or chocolate flakes once the cake has cooled and been unmolded. To set it down cleanly, run the spatula under the base again. The cake boxes are stable and precise - ideal for decorating with whipped cream, buttercream or chocolate.
