The gnome cookie cutter is perfect for different types of dough, fondant or marzipan. The cutter measures 9 cm x 8.6 cm x 2 cm. It is embossed on the inside so that the contours are embossed as soon as they are cut out. Before using, make sure to dust the work surface, hands, rolling pin and cutter with flour. For a stable dough, it is advisable to use cold butter, as this holds the dough together. As soon as you notice that the dough is getting too sticky or too warm, put it in the fridge for a few minutes. A thinly rolled out dough will be crispy after baking. If you prefer your biscuits softer, you can leave the dough 0.5 cm thick. We recommend this thickness, as the embossing remains clearly visible after baking. Now cut out the biscuits and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper before baking them in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown. Once the biscuits have baked and cooled, you can decorate them with a royal icing mix. Prepare the mix as described on the packaging. So that the icing doesn't just stay white, you can color it with ProGel colors. Divide the icing into as many bowls as the number of colors you want to use. One dab of ProGel colors is enough to achieve an intense color. Apply the icing to the biscuits with a brush. Finally, you can decorate the biscuits with sprinkles. After decorating, place the biscuits in a dry place to harden. The cutter can also be used for decorations made from fondant or marzipan. To do this, roll out the fondant or marzipan with a rolling pin and baking starch and cut out the motifs. After use, the biscuits can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
