These round, fat-repellent cardboard cake disks provide reliable support when stacking, lifting and repositioning cakes. They are ideal for working with a cake ring, cake edge foil and for making multi-tiered cakes. The cake discs stabilize sponge bases, protect delicate cream layers and make it easier to spread and decorate cakes cleanly. They also make it much easier to add sprinkles, brittle, flaked almonds or chocolate flakes to the edges of cakes. The disks are made of food-safe cardboard. One side is coated and greaseproof, the reverse side is uncoated. With a thickness of approx. 0.8 mm, they are sturdy and practical to use. They are intended for single use and can easily be cut to size if required. Application: Use a cake slice that is about 2 cm smaller in diameter than your cake. Place the slice on the cake plate first. Then place the cake ring including the cake insert strips and then fill in the sponge and cream alternately. Thanks to the cake disk, the cake can be carefully lifted with a spatula. This allows you to spread and decorate it safely. This is particularly practical for cakes that are decorated with flaked almonds, hazelnut brittle or chocolate sprinkles around the edges. To do this, lift the cake slightly, hold it in your hand and press the decoration onto the edge from bottom to top. The cake disk provides additional stability and makes the work much easier.
