These round, greaseproof bases make it easier to assemble, lift and decorate cakes cleanly. In combination with a cake ring, they serve as a stable base so that you can safely lift and reposition your cake with a spatula without breaking the cream or sponge. How are they used? Choose a disk that is around 2 cm smaller than the cake, insert it when layering and lift the cake with the spatula if necessary. The front is coated in white, the back is made of food-safe cardboard. With a thickness of approx. 0.8 mm, the disks offer reliable stability and are intended for single use. The set contains 10 slices with a diameter of 14 cm; if required, they can be cut to the desired size. When decorating the edge - for example with sprinkles, brittle or chocolate flakes - coat the edge with a slightly sticky mixture (e.g. cream, buttercream or chocolate), lift the cake slightly with the spatula and press the decoration on from the bottom to the top. What are they particularly suitable for? They make it easier to spread the edges neatly and to reposition the cake safely. The cake board helps you to avoid breakage and achieve an even finish.
