With this silicone mat, you can create delicate edible lace in a rosette motif with a butterfly in the middle. What is the pattern suitable for? Ideal as an elegant border around the edge or as a central element on cakes and pastries. The Spring silicone decorating mat is coated with a suitable lace decorating paste (e.g. Cake Lace) and smoothed out with a metal horn or angled spatula; take care not to leave any gaps. Simply return any excess paste to the cup. Then dry in the oven for 15 minutes at 80-100 °C and carefully loosen at the edge; if the tip is still soft, leave it for another 3-5 minutes. Once completely dry, peel off the flexible decoration and use immediately or store in an airtight container for up to two months. How is the decoration attached? With a little food glue, it adheres to fondant or chocolate; on royal icing, mirror glaze or even softer chocolate, simply press lightly. It is not suitable for very moist surfaces such as whipped cream. For special color effects, you can lightly spray the border with an airbrush.
