Baking, chilling and freezing are effortless with this ring, which you can then easily clean in the dishwasher. What is it suitable for? For fluffy sponge bases and precise cake assembly in the oven, fridge or freezer. The cake ring is placed on a flat baking tray lined with baking paper; a perforated tray is ideal so that the heat reaches the dough evenly. Only fill it to the right height, as sponge cake rises during baking. After baking, leave the base to cool, carefully remove it from the ring with a knife and cut into even slices - e.g. with a cake cutter or cake saw. How is it used when layering cakes? Work with an insert strip and first place the cake on a small cardboard base (1-2 cm smaller) with a larger base underneath so that you can easily move it later. A slice of sponge cake or a crispy base forms the base; even thick fillings such as caramel or cake jelly stay neatly in shape. To firm up, place the cake with the ring in the fridge or freezer; once it is stable, remove the insert strip and use the cake ring again straight away.
