When rolled out thinly, the biscuits will be crispy; for softer results, leave the dough about 0.5 cm thick. Place the cut-out pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C until golden brown. To decorate, mix royal icing according to instructions, color with ProGel colors if required and apply to the cooled biscuits with a brush or cornet; sprinkle decorations as desired, then leave to dry.
